Below is information which will help to answer some of the most frequently asked questions with regards to school closing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Reminder of General Precautions
Governor Asa Hutchinson has closed schools to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please remember to take the following precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
- Practice social distancing while students are out of school.
- Wash hands frequently.
- Do not touch your face.
- Cover your cough/sneeze and throw the tissue away immediately.
- Wash hands following a cough/sneeze.
- Avoid large crowds.
Event Cancellations
All activities, parent conferences, special education conferences, and athletic practices and events are cancelled during this time.
Conferences will be rescheduled at a later time.
The following events will be rescheduled:
- Kindergarten Registration
- Boys and Girls Club Contributor’s Luncheon
School Meal Service
The School Meal Service is FREE for any student 18 and under. Children must be present to receive a meal. All meal service is to be taken off campus. Cafeterias will not be open for anyone to sit and eat.
Bagged meals will include a lunch for the day and a breakfast for the following morning. Meals will be provided through a drive-up option for families to help prevent the spread of illness.

- Time – 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
- Smackover Location – Between cafeteria and pavilion
- Norphlet Location – Between cafeteria and preschool
Families in Need of Food Assistance
Families in need of food assistance during this time are also encouraged to contact First Baptist Church Norphlet at (870) 546-2573.
They will have food distribution beginning Tuesday afternoon around 3 pm. For more information and updates. Please visit their Facebook page.
Report Cards
Print copies of report cards will be available when school resumes. Parents will be able to check HAC to access student’s grades from the third nine weeks during this time.
