Mrs. Moore's 11th and 12th grade ELA students focused on "leftover" words in formal writing the week before Thanksgiving. These are words that should be replaced with stronger adjectives and adverbs. Students created a table full of Thanksgiving "leftovers" and then wrote sentences on place cards with words that should be used instead. Happy Thanksgiving!
